Eliav Nahlieli

Born in Israel 1950.
Served in the I.D.F for 7 years as an officer and was honorably released as a Major.
Received Art & Design (B.A) degree from Bezalel Academy and later graduated Meuseology studies in Tel Aviv University. Received Scholarship for internship at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, and then spent 3 months of internship at W.D.I.
Established Programa 1 Design Studio in 1986.
The studio specializes in designing visitor centers, museums, theme tourist attractions, heritage walk through experiences and historical memorial sites.
The studio deals with themes such as archaeology, general history, Jewish history, military and army, history of Zionism and ethnographic museums.
Received Thea awards for the design of The Palmach Museum in 2000 and the Chain of Generation Heritage Center in 2008.
The latest projects designed and produced by Eliav Nahlieli are The Masada Museum and the Israeli Diamonds Museum                (open Feb. 2008).
His professional motto is that a museum designer should be first and foremost a good storyteller, using all the skills and the latest up to date techniques to create the required experience.
